Vital BMX is getting a bit more organized with our forum Q&As. We'll be giving you a chance to interview two people a month. It could be a pro rider, an company owner, a product designer, a contest organizer, a filmier, etc. Each person will answer questions for one week. Get stoked!

First up we have Colony pro rider Alex Hiam. Alex is at the forefront of the youth movement in BMX. At only 16-years-old, he's already on Colony's pro team, has a signature frame, and is throwing down some of the most impressive park riding in the world.

Dear Alex,
I'm 13 years old from Eugene, Oregon, USA and although you are an Australian rider I really look up to you, mainly because you so good, but it seems like you're really chill.
My question to you is;
How did you do it? How did you become so good in such little time? I mean you've been riding for 5 or so years, and I know people that have rode for 6 or 7 and they can't double whip, or do all the tech stuff you do, and they can't blast as high. So yeah, just How'd you do it? What gets you motivated?
