Allan Cooke Interview (He's Off Specialized, Fox, & Boost)

Allan Cooke will no longer be riding for Specialized Bikes, Fox, and Boost Mobile in 2009. We asked him a few questions to get you a little more info.
How long were you on Specialized, and how did you get on the team in the first place?
Eleven years. Travis Chipres sponsored me for BMX racing and dirt jumping.
What are some of your fondest memories from those times?
Nothing beats getting your first free bike in the mail! Specialized being a company that makes mountain bikes and road bikes as well, it was always cool to get any kind of bike I wanted.
What is your current sponsor line-up?
DC, Bell, Demolition Parts, and X Balm.
Is there anything special you look for in a sponsor?
Somebody that is interested in more than just contest results. Someone that wants to support all kinds of riding video parts, Local Exposure Tour, marketing, etc.
Anything else you'd like to add?
It was great while it lasted but I am looking forward to starting something new with another company.

He's a one hell of a rider. Right now the economy sucks and people are losing their jobs all over the place. Even BMX companies have to let people go if they aren't making money. Somebody will pick him up.
