Ben Wallace Update

Ben Wallace UpdateA few days ago it was announced that Ben Wallace is no longer riding for Haro Bikes. In addition to parting ways with his bike sponsor, Ben also recently had knee surgery and is healing up and spending a bit of time off his bike. Ben sent over this update about what he's been up to:

"Things are going ok. My knee is healing up great and I can't wait to get back on my bike and put myself back out there. I was told just before Christmas that as of 2009 I would no longer be a part of the Haro team, which I'm bummed about, but I've had a great time with Tony D and the gang and appreciate everything they have done for me. Thanks to Remo, I'm now riding an UnKnown Bike Co frame, but still have no bike sponsor. I'm still with the guys at Seventies and riding for Primo and Orchid, though. I'm looking forward to riding daily and being fit and healthy and all of the competitions in '09."

    Dry your eyes Derek. I rode for Haro for 3 'seasons' as well and almost every cheque was late. I'm not complaining about that though; Haro were fantastic to me, they made me my own frames and all sorts; In fact I couldn't have asked for more from a sponsor. I just don't agree with most of tony's decisions. It's good to see that you're sticking up for your mate, I'm not so keen on the fag bashing though. Do you have a problem with my homosexuality? Let it be known Derek Betcher is a homophobe. I love tony d really, but strictly in a homo-erotic manner. Tony knows that...

    Yo TonyTopTube you love coming on here to bash TonyD for being a shit team manager when I see every day how he goes out of his for people. Business is business fag. When one of our guys broke his leg 2 years ago in February, he got paid all the way through the season. I rode for Haro for 3 seasons and never got one late check. Tony is a stand up guy. There is nothing wrong with letting someone go after their contract is up, especially at the end of a year. Now beat it dork.
