The Braun CruZer Tour’s big name riders once again put on a spectacular show for BMX fans at the NASS festival in Bath, Great Britain.
The second leg of the three-part competition saw Mark Webb (GBR), Ben Wallace (GBR) and Daniel Dhers (VEN) fill out the top three positions.
A spell of sunny weather in between rain showers only added to the intensity of the event, as the riders knocked out big trick after big trick in quick succession.
Webb’s Flair to 360 Tailtaps and Double-Tailwhips were enough to win him the contest while Wallace’s 360 Tailwhip with Lookback saw him take second place.
Daniel Dhers was third with a slick Indian Whip over the spine and stylish Alleyoop Flairs.
The ever-smooth Ben Hennon (GBR) won the unofficial high-flyer’s prize, sailing at least seven feet over the top of the ramp.
Chris Mahoney (GBR) made a number of attempts at nailing a Backflip over the spine, crashing heavily a number of times. “I did something to my foot,” he said. “I’m not sure what I’ve done, but it’s not broken – I can move my toes.”
“I’m getting better at it every time,” Dhers said. “I’m really enjoying riding it and making the best of it.”
“It’s my first time in England and everyone has been super-friendly,” he continued. “It’s really been a great event.”
“I only live 80 miles away,” Wallace said, “and I really enjoyed it, but now I’m knackered!”
