Dane Searls Injured; In a ComaThis past weekend, Dane Searls was seriously injured and is currently in a coma.

Please keep Dane in your thoughts and send positive wishes his way. Dane is an amazing rider and all around awesome guy. I know I speak for the whole crew at Vital BMX when I say that we're pulling for you, Dane!

Dane was injured attempting to dive off of a nightclub balcony into a swimming pool. Apparently he misjudged and ended up hitting the concrete headfirst. Dane is currently in critical condition. Please continue to send positive thoughts his way.

UPDATE: As reported by ESPN -

"According to a report on the Unit Clothing Facebook page, Australian BMX dirt rider Dane Searls' condition "has improved very slightly," since the Giants of Dirt creator was hospitalized Sunday night for head and neck trauma after falling from a balcony.

Unit Riders teammate and Olympic BMX hopeful Caroline Buchanan wrote via Twitter on Wednesday that Searls had "squeezed his cousin's hand. He is off the drugs, on life support still. His jaw moved, legs twitched. Dane is fighting!"
