We got an e-mail this morning that you never want to recieve. Brian Kachinsky tore is ACL riding street and is heading under the knife to get it fixed. He's got the right attitude, though. Get it fixed and then challenge Nyquist to a healing contest. What? Read the e-mail.
“Luck hasnt been on my side as of late. I tore my ACL riding street in Milwaukee the day before Thanksgiving. I was kinda hoping that it wasn’t torn but an MRI confirmed it last week. After talking with my local doctor about some treatment options, I instantly phoned Dr. Chao's office in San Diego last week. I am flying out there tomorrow and going under the knife on Wednesday (Dec. 6). Looks like Nyquist and I will be on a similar healing path. No concrete date yet on when I'm projected to be back on my bike but I will keep you posted. I'm thankful that I am in good hands and will soon be on the road to recovery!
“P.S. I haven’t confirmed this with Ryan yet, but I am publicly challenging him to a healing contest. The first to barspin a box jump wins. The loser has to buy the winner a sandwich of their choice. Being a week behind already, I have the cards stacked against me...but I'm "hungry" for the win!”
