Kevin Kiraly On Verde Q&A
It was announced just over a week ago that Kevin Kiraly would no longer be riding for Redline Bikes in 2009. However, it didn't take Kevin long at all to find a new home and it was recently announced that he is now riding for Verde. We caught up with Kevin via iChat to ask him a few questions about his new bike sponsor.
How long were you on the Redline team?
Almost three years; Rooftop got me on back in '06.
How did you end up parting ways with the company?
Times are tough, I guess. The economy is bad?
When did riding for Verde come about?
My good friend Justin Kosman put the word out that I would no longer be riding for Redline in '09. He hooked me up with Cory Muth from Verde (no homo) and we worked out a deal. I'm stoked!
What are your thoughts on representing Verde?
I'm really into the company's image. It's super clean and all of the products are really nice. I'm also psyched on how laid back the company is. They're down to send me to contests without stressing the results, but are also down for me to just chill, ride street, film, and shoot photos. I couldn't be happier.
Aside from representing Verde, what else do you have planned for '09?
I still plan on riding all of the Dew Tours and other contests. I want to travel more, ride some new places, and try to film a lot more. I love filming.
Any thanks?
Redline for three good years, Cory and Lou at Verde/Greenhouse, you guys are awesome! Kyle Carlson, BD, LiV Locals, and, last but not least, Justin Kosman. You're the man with a minivan!
