The King of New York™ is back! Started in 1995, one of the longest running bicycle stunt competitions in the world and the only one of its kind in New York City, the King of New York (www.kingofnewyorkbmx.com) will be returning to its home at Mullaly Park in the Bronx, NYC on September 1 and 2, 2007. Easily accessed by numerous forms of transportation and located at 164th Street between Jerome and River Avenues in the Bronx, Mullaly is just three blocks up the street from that “other” famed, historic landmark, Yankee Stadium.
Last year’s event was full of insane riding and this year will prove no different. If you’ve been to a previous King of New York, you know what we’re speaking on. If you missed out in 2006, here’s another chance to be part of NYC history. Check out the 2006 YouTube video here to see what we mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DOn6t0NnmM
Beginner and Expert class winners will claim Woodward Camp certificates plus GREAT product from the many King of New York sponsors. Amateur class entry is free but limited spots are available so sign up quickly. Pro class entry fee is still only $50 - there will be a $3000 pro purse paying to 10th Place. The King of New York Pro Champion will also get outfitted in stylish urban gear courtesy of Zoo York.
