720 Double whip on a concrete hip/box definitely deserved it in my opinion.

The trick was great! Don't get me wrong. I just thought Logan Martin and Pat Casey had more difficult tricks and also I don't like the fact that the same trick won two years in a row. Obviously this is all subjective.

Yeah in general I find X-Games judging downright confusing. I get the sense that riders and fans do too. For example in the park comp Mike Varga did the exact same run for runs 1 and 2 and got two wildly different scores. Were the judges not paying attention the first time? Or did they realize they downscored him the first time and tried to make up for it? These riders go through a lot just to get to the X-Games. I think they are entitled to a fair and unbiased and consistent judging.

Repeating your runs has always resulted in fewer points the second time around.

Yeah, but the problem was Varga got a 74.00 on the first run and a 79.33 on the second (which actually had a single tailwhip air instead of a double which he did on the first run). So it's like he got upscored for doing the same run.

Yep exact same. Martin and Casey had better more difficult tricks.

My pick was the flair bar to downside whip, but I see where they're coming from. Bummer to have the same trick win two years in a row but damn... 720 double whip is nuts!
