Mike Escamilla Goes Under the Knife

A crash on a mini ramp took Mike Escamilla out for a bit. We asked him for the details and the prognosis.
“In late September on a trip up to Kurtis Elwell’s, i pretty much just slid off a mini doing a backwards grind—I wouldn’t even consider it a crash. After weeks of pain I got an MRI and it turned out that I had a pretty bad lateral meniscus tear, my second one in this knee. So i had to get it cut out. Recovery won’t be too bad, four-to-six weeks, I hope. I made an edit of the week of surgery, riding a bit with some other stuff the best I could without trying to further injure my knee. It’s really just a fun edit, so look for that soon...”
