mikepayne said it. the most important part of being part of any team, or any company is being able to keep your head up, and in the right mind-set. the attitude of 'im better than that guy, i deserve free stuff too' is exactly the type of thing people that run companies frown on. if you need stuff, and your a good rider with a good head on your shoulders, most companies like to help those kind of people out.

plus there are a ton of great riders that don't have any form or sponsor at all, every city has a super-pro that gets no recognition from anyone besides the locals, and doesn't want to get mixed up in the "PRO" world of riding for all the right reasons.
