When BMX was first born, the chromoly Redline “V” bar set the standard for all handlebars. Now, nearly 35 years later, not much has changed … except for the “V” shaped crossbar is now straight and the 4130 chromoly tubing is now double-butted. Thicker where it needs to be, and thinner in the non-stress areas to keep these bars under 24 ounces. Want to save weight on your bike? Switching to the Device bars is one of the best places to start.
