Pros Signed Up & More for the Wicked Jam
Rye Airfield's Wicked Jam contest is set to go off. Here is an update we just got in; you don't want to miss this.
The committed pros and sponsors keep rolling in for the Rye Airfield Wicked Jam the first weekend in December. Garrett Reynolds, Scotty Cranmer, Auggie Simonciini, BIG Daddy, Rob Darden, Seth Klinger, Jeremiah Smith, Charlie Bowers, Nic Bonner, Jason Dorit Perz, Trey Jones, Will Thompson and Chris Childs. Yah, sick.
On the sponsor front, longtime supporter Link Marketing helped us pull in Scion for the event so a huge thanks to both those companies for years of stepping up for events at the park. We also have Maxxis Tires, DK/System Cycle and Profile to add to the massive list of industry support.
Tweaks - there is a last chance jam on Saturday morning for any ams that can't make the trip up on Friday because of school etc, take note that all the other jams will have 5-10 people, this one will be a free for all. The start time for the pro qualifying on Saturday is getting bumped a bit so they can have some time to practice, and lastly the awards will be given on site after the pro finals, but there will still be some festivities in downtown Portsmouth post event. There will be 10 finalists in the Pro division, each will get $500 regardless of how they place, then bonuses be given to the top 6. Overall payout will look like this:
1st - $2000
2nd - $1500
3rd - $1000
4th - $750
5th - $650
6th - $600
7th - $500
8th - $500
9th - $500
10th - $500
We are still doing $500 bonuses for "Best run without a tailwhip", "Best Trick" and "Best New Englander".
Lastly, DK TM Catfish will be in the house with a mic in hand while Chad DeGroot, Chris Hald and John Saxton will be handling the judging.
If you have not made plans yet, get on it, this contest will be too sick to miss.
