RIP Adam Stokes

RIP Adam StokesLas Vegas local and all around badass Adam Stokes passed away today. This is a sad loss for BMX and for the Las Vegas scene. Adam was a great dude and lived to the fullest both on and off of his bike. Although he didn't ride as much as he used to the past few years, he'd still stop by the park randomly and pull 360-tailwhips every try. He was a close friend to many and he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, brother.

A memorial service will be held this Sunday (4/26/2009) at Anthem Skatepark. Everything will begin at dusk.

    Adam Sokes was the MAN! the legend of anthem skatepark. he will be miss. im glad i got to witness the last session with both adams togather (adam wilson, and stokes) they were few and far between, it was great.

    One of the times when Anthem was on a "No Bikes Allowed" status, Stokes and I were both 86'ed and Trespassed from the park from some high ranking Henderson Police chump, B. Long. That didn't stop us from going up to the park every single day and night and getting in whatever session we felt like having. One of those times when we had to flee with the cops literally ambushing us from the back path. I jumped a wall into some neighborhood and Adam took off towards the parking lot. Ralph Sinisi was at the park fleeing the scene as well and told Adam to hop in the van for the getaway.



    I'm going to miss my best friend of several years. He was the last friend with a carefree attitude that would face any trouble we could think of. He never bought in to any trends and always kept his own style.
