The Red Bull Empire of Dirt final rider list is announced, and it truly is the very best who will be making their way to Newton Abbot, Devon, to compete in the World’s First BMX Dirt Slopestyle contest.

The riders list is a ‘Who’s Who’ of international BMX, with 31 top all-rounders confirmed. Riders hail from the UK, USA, Australia, France and Spain; the list includes the Forte Brothers Kye and Leo, Corey Bohen, Gary Young, Chris Doyle, Taj Mihelich, Sergio Layos and more.

“Empire of Dirt is bringing the best riders around to Newton Abbot, we’re putting Devon on the global BMX map,” says Empire creator and top UK rider Kye Forte.

Red Bull Empire of Dirt, the world’s first BMX DIRT SLOPESTYLE contest, is the brainchild Forte, and combines influences from each of the BMX styles, to create one unholy new discipline guaranteed to challenge the very best on the planet.

Building of the Red Bull Empire of Dirt has been underway for weeks, the course crew has shaped thousands of tons of dirt into a huge dirt superpipe, massive double jumps and spine; and a team of carpenters has been hard at work assembling the technical street obstacles, including rails, boxes and wall rides.

Like a true slopestyle course, traditionally found in freestyle snowboarding, the course has been designed to offer riders multiple lines, and infinite ways to showcase their skills, and link new combinations of tricks.

Only the rider with the most talent in all styles will conquer the Empire of Dirt, and get their piece of the £10,000 (USD$19,500) prize purse.
