Ryan Nyquist Broke Off
It seems like all of Greenville, North Carolina is on the injured list this month. We spotted some news on the Haro site about Ryan Nyquist being out of commission, so we asked Ryan for the details. Get well soon, Ryan.
"I originally hurt my ankle while jumping into the Unit foam pit, but not with my bike. I was jumping off of the ceiling rafters into the foam. I landed feet first from about 20 feet up, and my feet bottomed out. My ankle rolled completely over, and swelled to the size of a small cantaloupe or a large apple. That was in November. Since then I've been doing a little rehab and trying to keep it stable with an ankle brace. I just finished filming for "End Search" So I finally have some time take care of it. Right now the plan is to hopefully have my ankle scoped in a couple of weeks, and have the bone chips and other things floating around in there removed. Hopefully that will hold me over until the 2008 contest season is over with, then I can have a proper surgery done to fix it for good."
"I also have a rib muscle that I pulled that has been very uncomfortable for the past week. That one happened while I was laughing and getting up out of a chair at the same time. Hahahahahaha!!!!! So lame. Nothing I can do about that one though, just needs to rest."
