Scotty Cranmer had to miss out on the ASA box jump contest in Phoenix this past weekend because of an injury. According to Scotty, he was doing a new trick that he had already landed before and missed the pedals. This resulted in him flipping over the bars and pretty much doing a front handspring on his shoulder and neck. It seemed pretty serious at first, but has resulted only in some trouble with his shoulder and a stiff neck.

Scotty was pretty bummed about missing the ASA contest. He thinks the box jump contest sounds pretty good and described it as “basically a no-dirt-dirt-contest.” He also wanted to see The Starting Line, one of the bands performing at the event.

He’ll be back riding at the next Dew Tour in Salt Lake City, UT in a few weeks.

In other Scotty news, he recently traded his Skyline GTST for a 1994 twin turbo Toyota Supra. Just because he’s injured doesn’t mean he’s going to be driving slow.

If there's something you want to ask Scotty, there's still time to add questions to his press list interview.
