The kid who got second is one of the local rippers here in my area and fully deserves a chance to go to woodward and definatly cant go any other way. Its a shame, and that is why negative posts are here on your video Trey. Nobody is hating on your skills and nobody cares who is sending you free shit, its about the respect (or lack thereof) of your fellow rider. Give and take...exactly. Lets make THAT perfectly clear.

if i was getting hooked up from fit and nike i wouldnt go and enter an amateur contest to win a free week at woodward.

the kid who got second place is probably not going to go, but would definitely have had the chance if someone didnt ruin it for him who is probably going there anyway.

give and take dude, bmx isnt about winning as much contests as possible.

Hey, thats all good and all but there is a point when common sense should play into a decision as well. The fact that you enter a jomopro PRO contest should up your standards as to what class you compete in. I'm not trying to take anything away from Trey, he's a damn good rider and deserves to be where he is but the point i was trying to make is that damn am is supposed to let UP AND COMING am, undiscovered riders try to make a name for themselves. You have done that already, what else did you feel you had to prove? Do what you will, its a "free" country but be prepared to feel both postive and negative reprocussions of your actions. Even if you were told it was cool to enter, you shoulda made a better desision than that. Sandbagging has a negative impact on someones name, and im sure alot of other riders in florida have a very different opinion of Trey Jones. You do deserve respect and a little credit but if you wanna be an up and coming pro...act like it. As far as earning a paycheck to be a pro...the LEVEL of riding and the CHARACTER of a rider is what defines someone as a pro. Plenty of people in this sport earn a paycheck in this sport who flat out do not deserve it...once again i will say that you are a very good rider and i'm not hating at all, i could care less actually what you have going on for yourself but, being told something is okay and making that decision for yourself are very different, character defining traits. Let it be a lesson that nobody likes a sandbagger.
