Fuel TV Signs Affiliation Agreement With Comcast

LAS VEGAS - Fox Cable Networks today announced that it has reached an agreement with Comcast that would let the country's largest cable company add FUEL TV to its digital lineup.  FUEL TV now has distribution agreements with all top ten cable providers, and launched in July 2003 with ongoing satellite partner DIRECTV.  By year-end, FUEL TV will be available to more than 50 million cable and satellite homes.

“Comcast is a tremendous new partner for FUEL TV, and one that truly recognizes the enormous influence of digitally savvy teens and young adults who have embraced our network as a preferred entertainment destination,” says David Sternberg, executive vice president of emerging networks for Fox Cable Networks and FUEL TV general manager.  “We look forward to working together with Comcast to drive digital subscriptions in the many crucial markets they serve.”

Action sports and the action sports lifestyle continue to surge in popularity throughout the United State. More than 26 million people nationwide now say they participate in action sports, ranking action sports activities second only to basketball.  More than 90 percent of all people watching FUEL TV say they spend at least five days a week with the network, and more than 92 percent of those describe it as one of their favorite services.

FUEL TV is building upon its programming offerings with the new comedy film “Blackballed,” featuring Rob Corddry (“The Winner,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”), Rob Riggle (“The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”), Rob Huebel (“Arrested Development”), Ed Helms (“The Office”) and Dannah Feinglass (“MADtv”). Previously only available through video-on-demand, “Blackballed” makes its FUEL TV network premiere later this summer.  FUEL TV will premiere the new docu-series “The 808” in July, focusing on Hawaii's fabled North Shore and a group of local surfers who call themselves the Wolfpak. FUEL TV will also return its original series “American Misfits” for a second season. Also in July, “The Daily Habit,” FUEL TV’s original daily dose of art, culture, music, gaming, action sports athletes and celebrities premieres its 450th episode.

Other returning series include “Drive presented by Jeep,” featuring professional skateboarder Mike Vallely and “M80” showcasing top motocross riders, their daredevil riding and the ladies who love them, and “The Captain and Casey Show” returns with all-new guests, skateboarding and mischief.
