Redline Brings In Limited Edition Sublimated Frames

Arriving on dealer showrooms next month will be the first ever fully sublimated BMX frame. Sure, it’s been done on various parts – such as hubs, chainwheels, bars and forks, but this will be the first production frame done with the full wrap-around graphics. Companies such as MOSH and Odyssey have seen great success with sublination, so it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that a sub’d frame would be next. The only question left, was WHO will do it first?!

Now you have your answer: REDLINE.

RL’s freestyle cartel has been spotted on sublimated samples since last year’s INTERbike show; where Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla first debuted the baby-blue “houndstooth” design. Redline’s Kevin Kiraly has been aboard a “70’s wallpaper” frame, while Brooklyn’s Tyrone Williams has been shreddin’ NYC streets on his “NY” sublinated Device. And New Jersey’s next wonderkid -- Garrett Reynolds, is currently rockin’ Redline’s stock 2007 “Houndstooth” production frame – which he recently took to a 4th place finish at stop #2 of the Mt. Dew Action Sports Tour/Denver.

Redline’s Device frame with the Houndstooth sublimation are due to arrive around the first of September and will be made in a limited quantity, split between the 20.5 and 21” frame lengths. Also new for these frames are a Mid-sized B/B, removable gyro tabs and single cable-guide routing.
The houndstooth sublimated model will cost about $30 more than the regular 2-tone painted Device frame.
MSRP: $ 349.99

As the freestyle BMX world evolves more in to a likeness of the skating industry, with numerous signature frames as there are signature skate decks, REDLINE predicts sublimated frames will be the direction the industry goes to produce unique graphics and rider-art that sums up what each rider is all about.
