Nationwide, August 2, 2007 — Schick® Quattro®, official sponsor of Summer X Games 13, is launching a nationwide search for “the next action sports star” beginning today, August 2, 2007. The company will award one amateur skateboarder or BMX rider a one-year, $20,000 sponsorship/endorsement deal as part of an integrated marketing program supporting its Summer X Games sponsorship. The Schick® Quattro® “East vs. West Xperiment” calls for video entries of future action sports stars showing their tricks from August 2 through September 3, 2007. Professional skateboarder Bob Burnquist and pro BMX and stunt rider Ryan Nyquist will help judge the entries, which will be open to nationwide, online voting from September 10 to October 8. Consumers can also register for a free Schick® Quattro® Razor and a chance to win iPhones™ through the promotional period which concludes on October 8. The contest winner will be announced shortly after the conclusion of the program.

Summer X Games 13 showcases more than 150 of the world’s top athletes competing in BMX Freestyle, MotoX, Skateboard and Surfing. The event is scheduled for August 2-5, 2007, with competitions being held at the STAPLES Center and the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. The surfing competition was held July 3-6, 2007 in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will telecast the events.
