This is Profile's new 2010 Hub Guard. Here's what they had to say about it and the specs:

"We just got the new Profile hub guards back from the anodizer. For 2010, we slimmed down the base of the guard so they will fit better into the new, smaller dropouts on most frames."

-Black available now. Red, gold, and blue on the way.
-14mm only, the guard fits onto the jam nut and is adaptable to Profile Mini, High Flange, and Totem hubs as well as the Madera V-2.
-1.5oz/42 grams

i like the other version better. what if your riding street and you have those holes. it might catch on a rough ledge. i think this would be better for park riders not street. solid hub guards are better. no point to have holes in it.

you do realize hubs have different shells right? and what was not legit about the old hubguard??? why would a bike company make accessories for a competitor
