    "ti used for crank"

    Rating:

The Good: light and more stronger

The Bad: more flex when i tried on my bar.

Overall Review: I've tried many experiment coz i'm work on ti fabrication and i think ti is not good for frame and handle bar but another part is ok.Ti crank is good coz with right ratio of thickness it's will be strong and light and it just 175mm more shorter is more hard to brake if welding process was follow the procedure.Of course more expensive.

Overall Review: "titanium parts suck they bend and strip yes ti bends i should know i have roughly 15% of my bones replaced with it you fools thinking ti is hard to work with its not the melting point is lower and the metal doesntmix with air easy so ti is easier to work with im a heavy street rider ive broken flys profiles and easternd in the past if you dont believe they bend go to youtube and see for yourself you guys are suckered into buying parts are fools my bike is 18 pounds with no cutouts all street approved parts and no ti aluminum is just as strong an ti ti has this problem with being ductile but if you dont know what that means you should stop now and have someone else build your bike for you"

You are a moron. Ti is stronger in a STRENGTH TO WEIGHT ratio ONLY, it does NOT bend, it BREAKS. It is MUCH more brittle. There is NO WAY you have an aluminum street frame. I want to see this bike ON A SCALE, and what it is, post a video of you zeroing out the scale, then hanging the bike, LETTING GO so we can see the ACTUAL WEIGHT.

Also, Ti is a LOT more finicky to work with (having a degree in WELDING I know this from experience) than steel or aluminum. Lower melting point generally means it is more BRITTLE, which = BREAK not bend. Just like a set of FORGED cranks, they snap a LOT easier. Ti does strip, but ONLY because is is more BRITTLE. Don't forget that bare, unfinished Ti against bare, unfinished aluminum tend to bond over time (stick together, being super hard to pull apart etc).

When you finally pull your head out of your ass joshlanebmx, feel free to respond.
