Dan Quinn: Surveying San Diego

Dan Quinn (perhaps better known as Ass Dan) recently moved to San Diego and spent his first few months there getting burly as hell on everything in sight. This guy is fearless. You absolutely don’t want to miss this!

We asked Dan a few questions about this new video -

Why’d you move to San Diego?

My roommate said he was moving so I invited myself.

After being there a few months, what do you think?

San Diego is the best place on Earth. Perfect weather, awesome people, endless spots, and outstanding craft beer.

Which clip took the longest to get?

The fakie ride on the slant wall.

Which clip was the most painful?

The superman seatgrab on the ditch quarter. I was recovering from a rolled ankle and bruised heel at the time, so it was extra painful.

Which clip is your favorite?

Probably the rail hop - the second-to-last clip. I’ve always been terrified of rail hops and, truth be told, that’s the first one I’ve ever done. I was definitely out of my comfort zone, but it worked first try.

Did you get everything you wanted for this video?

I’m 100% satisfied with this video, but there are a few things I didn’t get. Between getting hurt and being out of town for work, it was a bit difficult staying comfortable on my bike. It’s motivating, though.

Why do you jump off so many roofs?

It’s fun.

What’s it like jumping to flat so often, then going in to work the next day?

Honestly, I don’t know any other way. I’ve gone to work with concussions, rolled ankles, swollen knees, and even a broken collarbone. The list goes on. With that being said, it sucks.

What’s next for you?

Heal up for a few weeks and get right back on it.

Anything you want to add?

Hope you enjoy the video!
