I just had this surgery done, it sucks doing nothing. I can't say wear a helmet but my buddy would be dead if he wasn't wearing one and he was only doing a manual on a 6ft. I would also be in bad shape if I wasn't wearing one trying a 540 on the vert.

Helmets prevent knee injuries for sure. Yup. My ACL tear was worse than any head related injuries I have ever had, Helmet or not. If it's bad you still wind up in the hospital. Have fun while you can. If a helmet makes you feel safe, go for it.
