mutiny is comming out with a frame with the built in seat post and i forget what company it was but they did it about 6 years ago.

I don't think that integrated pivotal mount is a good idea...I am a follower of murphy's law...that is, if anything CAN go wrong, it WILL go wrong. Having something like that in the event of failure is not a good idea. I've never heard anyone complain of stripping out pivotal mounts, but I am sure that it's possible (someone give me a seatpost, I'll prove it), and I would so much rather replace a 25$ seatpost than an entire frame. But I totally understand that Verde did it because kids looking for their first bike are gonna be drawn in by these little gimmicks that oddly enough (hint:sarcasm) aren't featured on their higher-end bikes.
