    And 8 tooth seizes up a lot easier do to to much stress

    You do know that the DRIVER is what has the teeth, not the hub right? And an 8 tooth driver and 23 tooth chainwheel will put more than double the stress of a 44-16 combo on the chain, due to the load being spread over fewer teeth. AKA Broken chains a LOT more often.

    might get those pads. i dont like huge pads but i like to wear something when i ride park. thier cheap too.
