Forest Grove Jam Edit 5

Prior to landing his product design job at Odyssey (and now Odyssey's Austin branch, OTX Design), Ben Ward grew up in Forest Grove, Oregon, a small community located about 40 miles outside of Portland. For the past few years Ben has held a coming home jam each spring at the skatepark he helped design.

While many of the parks in the Northwest are known for their endless transitions and large bowls, Forest Grove is a more street oriented layout, with rails, ledges, and minimal transitions. It's a nice change of pace from the norm up here.

This year's jam was a who's who of Portland area BMXers. Ben Hucke, Caleb Quanbeck, Shad Johnson, John Bristol, Codie Larson, Snotty, Tony T, and of course Ben Ward to name a few. The weather worked out in Ben's favor as the jam fell on the nicest day Portland has seen in months. The same thing happened last year, which leads me to believe that when Ben comes to town, the nice spring weather is officially here.

It's sweet that DFG filmed a different kind of vid, and he put in a lot of good work filming that day. But I'm more stoked on this one because I got a clip in it. If you read this, thanks again Jared,
