Freestyle The Gambia 6

Remember the feeling of freedom you had when you first rode a bike as a child? Some people never lose that. Bikes help people carry themselves to schools, work or homes all over the world but in some places they do more – they free you to have fun.

In the Gambia, people live by the philosophy “feel free”. What better place to start a freestyle bicycle stunt team in the heart of West Africa…

Mamadou Wuri Bah is the founding member of Topcycle freestyle team in Banjul, The Gambia. He and the guys in his workshop repair bikes in the day before sneaking off to do freestyle in the evening. They don't have helmets or protection but they love to ride.

How can I get these guys' address so I can send them my old parts that are in perfect shape? I have handlebars, tires, pedals, rims, forks, pegs and 14mm hubs that I'm not using just because I got myself newer, a little bit lighter stuff, but what I have to send them is definitely still ridable! Cromoly bars, maxxis tires... good stuff! someone's gotta help these folks, they love to do what I love to do, and that makes us good BMX friends!
