How your Profile cassette hub is built.

During filming for Matt Coplon's recent vital video I picked up some clips that couldn't quite fit into the video but I thought may interest some people. Credit: Brett Rohlfing

all the paint or whatever they put on the hubs to color them changes every month or so. so the way it looks in a picture could be completely different than what it actually is depending on when the hub was painted and when you get your hub.

Well you pretty much are shit out of luck, its not like there going to send you a brand new hub just because the colour isnt what you thought it was, and who have you seen brake the cone washers and bearings in the front hub?

my bike shop ordered an antifreeze green hub for me when they first came out and then built my wheel before i got to see it. The freiking hub had no color to it. Well barelly you could see a hint of green but mainly just the natural aluminum color. I called profile about it and got some deusche bag that told me i was shit out of luck. It was my first profile hub and i got F-ed over. Thanks profile. By the way do something about the conewashers breaking and the bearings in the front hubs going to shit. No other company has this problem. Why do you? To freiking expensive too. AHHHHHHHH i hate people. There hubs arent that bad and sound good but you have to buy ti parts to make them lighter and by then you've spent 400 dollars on a hub plus the extra money to buy two different sized spokes not to mention ti isn't bad but not as strong as chromo and profile looks a little coool but for the money i atleast want something that looks really cool or shoots lazers out or something. I don't know but i will say that the primo mix hub is the strongest and fastest hub i've ever seen plus it has its own unique sound that sounds like the wheel's going a hundred miles an hour when you're just cruising. LOVE IT. I'm hyper sorry

It means if you have a profile hub, its how it got made.

My guess is they cost so much because of all the machining time to make all the parts, then they are all hand built to achieve best possible quality.
