6/5/2012 9:32 AM
The truth is pretty simple....
Jimmy Foster maybe a quiet guy, he may seem a bit for want of a better word, boring BUT this kid goes hard & I don't give a flying fizuck whether it's on a 'gigantoramp' or a 'gigantic tramp' it's still boss as fizuck & that my friends, is the truth!
6/5/2012 7:09 AM
it's like saying if i did a table air on a 7.5654ft purple quarter i could claim a world record because the ramp has different dimensions to any other quarters and its purple.
6/5/2012 4:16 AM
this shit is gayer than freddy mercury
bonedeth is where it's at
6/5/2012 2:27 AM
Can't believe people are hating on this cause he slipped the pedals or because they can't read the description. Solid effort James, takes alot of commitment to do something like that!!!
6/5/2012 1:12 AM
no claim scooter boy feet came of plus jed already done it on a real ramp

No hate here, just saying that to me this isn't BMX, it's just some circus/freak show. Something you can't duplicate on your local park.
When I see a video and the guy pulls a triple barspin down a set of stairs, it's awesome as hell and it gets me psyched to ride, but if some same guy jumps off a cliff and do 45 barspins b4 opening his chute, what's the point?
I remember years ago when there was this 'bet' on who was gonna pull the first triple barspin on vert, and it was cool because they were trying it on a 'normal' vert ramp that everybody rode. Now that's testing the limits.
And when they actually did the triple bar, they didn't came up with a bigger ramp to try a 4, 7 or 10spins barspin. That's BMX.
Jumping from the moon and doing a 879backflip is not.

It is a bit of a circus act, BUT if it gets people psyched on BMX and gets more kids riding, I am all for it. Stuff like this where the riders test their own limits and goals is how BMX gets more insane. It may not be what you are into, but fact is that this is a form of progression. Back in the day riders would huck themselves over huge jumps to learn new tricks and to give them time to bail. Go back further and your average park was 4 feet tall or less AND it was a pay park, AND there were 5 ramps. Parks are getting bigger, tricks are getting bigger. Hell, a triple bar down stairs started with those guys trying triple bars on box jumps or flyouts. Same with flips. People used to ONLY do them to fakie on a quarter, then over a box jump and dirt jumps, now people are doing flip drop ins. Hate it or love it, I honestly think there is some progression in this stuff.

you have a good point there, ramps ARE getting bigger in general, and it does bring the kids attention to BMX, and I remember back in the day when a 5 ft jump ramp would be considered huge (today is kiddies play).
The thing is I was kind of thinking like the olympics, where the dimensions never change. It's not like 'ok, so men can run 100 meters in less than 10 seconds, let's change it to 90 meters - OMG now men run in less than 9 seconds! Rad!' you know?
Mat Hoffman was able to blast 15 foot airs on a 11 feet ramp. Let's see someone beat that - on a 11 feet ramp, not on a 25 ft ramp!
Someone did a double flip on a 8ft tall jumpbox? Try the triple on the same ramp, not on a 50 ft tall jump with a 150ft roll in!
6/5/2012 6:56 PM
who does straight triple bars down stairs???!
6/4/2012 10:07 PM
bmx is about person goals. . . james achieved a huge one. that only one before him had done. . . hes not trying to please anyone or be better. . he is achieving personal goals. . u cant hate on that! not to mention its gnarly as hell!
6/4/2012 8:46 PM
wows his feet came off the pedal jeds triple was better
6/5/2012 2:33 AM
Coming from someones whose profile pic is him doing a 2ft gap. I really don't think his goal was to be better than Jed mate. Takes alot of balls to pull off something like that so stop hating.
6/4/2012 8:07 PM
If you can't do it the same way or better than why hate
6/4/2012 7:57 PM
this show suck srly this is made for fat redneck bmx is dying
6/4/2012 6:35 PM
Dave mirra went to some skatepark and did the 1st double on a 40-pound bike on a ramp tha everybody ride every day. I'd like to see these guys do these triples on a normal ramp, on a normal skatepark... THAT would be 'evolution'! So, if I jump out of an airplane and do a billion-flip it's 'hardcore evolution'? Unless I see someone busting a triple on a 'normal' ramp, it will always be called 'circus' for a reason...!
6/4/2012 7:40 PM
Actually the Canadian beast jay miron pulled it first for a TV show called ordinary extraordinary ...just saying
6/4/2012 11:01 PM
oh yeah, and in 1997!!
6/5/2012 9:06 AM
Actually, Dave Mirra had a specifically designed box for the double flip he did at that park (they rebuilt it to his specs), and he had them make an exact duplicate for it at the 2000 X-Games when he did it during the contest. Miron did it first, and I thought it was closer to 94? Colin Winkleman did a double flip in 94 and ALMOST stomped it. He blew up on the landing and folded over the wrong way. Irony was that it was like a 4 foot tall box that booted you stupid high. Check out the Props Bio on him and you will see the attempt.
