All I ride is dirt, I cant vouch for either tire on park or street.
Shipping is pricey from the UK, but my kit came to San Diego in 4days which was quite impressive. In my opinion the F22's are worth every penny. I am down right afraid of the Holmes tires. I had to bail once from the tire washing out over a hip and went ... more »
The last I heard from the guys at Faction, one will be able to order just rims from them in April. S&M will also be offering welded seam revenge rims as well as mainline tires in 22" in April. My faction does hop better than I expected, but I feel ... more »
Wow, and I thought I was too tall to be riding kids bikes! I rode a 21.25" S&M black bike before I had my 22" Standard built, now when I jump on anything shorter, although I can still send runs through the trails, it just feels too cramped. Customs ... more »
S&M charges 550 for customs, I'm 6'5 so although the 21.5 is ridable, its not ideal...
Exactly. Im having S&M build me a 23"tt frame with Amero geometry, I was hoping theyd weld on a wtf head tube so I could use my amero forks, but they were out so it looks like I'll have to run pitchforks on that beast.
I believe the reasoning behind the 4" headtube was weight savings and keeping the top tube lower for no foot cans and other over the tube tricks. I don't feel like the top tube is much lower, but ill know for sure this weekend when I get it side by side ... more »
Handles FAR better than the holmes, here's some of my first runs on it through the trails, going to put together a full bike check/review this weekend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF9VG1hP3Uo&feature=youtube_gdata_player
@Nosgod because I ordered the front in white
Feels very comparable to my current 20" setup, steers nicely, manuals well, bunnyhops easily. Only difference was that 180s feel a bit slower. I only pedaled it around for about 5 mins in front of the house, dont want to take a lap through the trails ... more »
Got my Amero!
Got mine yesterday!
The uk, still 30 or so days until they're stateside. I air freighted a kit from them today for $99 s&h.
Rip thx for the info, gotta text from Clint Reynolds earlier that he'd show me around! On an unrelated but equally awesome note, ordered my Amero today, ships tomorrow afternoon...uk time of course!
Noticed before that there were some Austin dudes in this thread. Looks like I'll be out there next weekend if anyone wouldn't mind showing me around to some trails. I'd love to send some runs through east side!
Lol, I hear ya...should be worth the wait though.
Thats what I thought, most likely whats going on the amero
