Added reply in a thread Taking time off due to sore knees 9/3/2019 8:26 AM

I tried fixie and it gave me knee pain. But also there is a reason roadie seats are so high. Too low a seat with lots of mileage means you are going to get knee pain and if you aren't careful damage to your knees. BMX is great but the bikes are not made ... more »

Added reply in a thread Fixed hub: anyone ride a fixie? 8/28/2019 5:54 AM

I am not sure how a roadie bar would work on a BMX bike. The stack height is sooo much lower. And yeah will need a new stem. You are going to basically folded in half in seems like even with it flipped. If you want to do riding like the video you posted, ... more »

Added reply in a thread Cheapest way to turn cassette hub to fixed hub? 8/27/2019 6:25 AM

Since it is a freewheel hub, just remove the freewheel and thread on a fixie cog (also know as a track cog). For example https://www.treefortbikes.com/Surly-Track-Cog-1-8-13-16-Tooth?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=1o2&scid=scplp3332223377762693&sc_intid=3332223377762693&gclid=CjwKCAjwqZPrBRBnEiwAmNJsNnExCbzgmA48-cXeXaYCF1mjr3_EK2gLFXJGkKmlR2RZ3XWF6ZXgvBoCO7QQAvD_BwE ... more »

Hi ten frame, single wall rims, unsealed bearings. I don't see much good about this bike.

Added reply in a thread Butter My Biscuits Peasant 8/16/2019 5:55 AM

Those must have been the shittest chains of all time to snap from just pedaling. Roadie and 12 speed mountain bike chains are way thinner and weaker then MTB chains and they don't snap just from pedaling along and I guarantee a lot of those guys put ... more »

There are some new enduro focused mtb full face helmets that are much more stream lined and well ventilated. Things like the Fox Proframe, Troy Lee Designs Stage, etc.
