Added reply in a thread Can't choose bike. Need help 1/12/2016 6:53 PM

The Fit bikes tend to be the best bikes for the money when you are comparing the same price range. However the deal we have on that Subrosa Novus for just $575 is almost too good to pass up. ... more »

Added reply in a thread how do I find out what type of spoke to get? 1/12/2016 6:47 PM

Hey. If you just need a spoke / nipple or two just email me at and I'll just throw a couple in an envelope for you. Just let me know what rim / hub you have so I know what size to send.

The Daily Grind guards are super tough, pretty cheap and should fit that hub just fine.

I found the time to add a bunch of stuff to the "Used Crap" page on the Albe's website and figured some of you may be into some of the deals. Most of the stuff is from traded in stuff from a lot of the Albe's locals or team guys that we give stuff too

Added reply in a thread Alumium VS Chromoly? 12/12/2015 7:31 AM

The main reason would be that if aluminum fails in most cases it gives no warning. It just breaks. With steel in most cases you'll see a crack starting and know it's probably not a good idea to ride it knowing a head tube could pop off soon. ... more »

Added reply in a thread Folded Wire Bead Tire 12/12/2015 7:28 AM

Added reply in a thread Hey, uh, Albes 12/1/2015 7:49 AM

Ah man! Bummed you have an issue with us. It's true that we sometimes work pretty hard to make it seem like we aren't working hard. However we process and ship 1000's of orders a month and have very few issues. When there is an issue we normally go above ... more »

Added reply in a thread mini shredder 16" custom build 11/30/2015 9:12 PM

I agree with Grumpy Steve. He'll be over a 16" pretty quick. If he's really into it and riding hard it may be worth building him up a bad ass 18" as he can ride an 18" till the age of 13 or so like Brett Banasiewicz did. There are a few decent aftermarket ... more »

Added reply in a thread Did I do this right? 11/30/2015 9:06 PM

Looks good in the photos. Maybe someday you can be like Turbo (our bad ass wheel builder here at Albe's) and tell people you twist nipples for a living.
