Nice one! I haven’t been out in the streets for ages. Yeah man, I love the thing! The little bowl is cool too, but the big one is in the Goldilocks zone for sure. I can’t wait for that thing. It was meant to be the last stop of the vans series this year, ... more »

It is definitely confusing, super disorienting as well. I’ve had concussions where I don’t remember entire weeks though, so I’d take the confusion of coming to over that any day

Oh man, that’s so heavy, I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully whatever happens is successful as it can be

I guess... - Handful of concussions - broken left clavicle x3 - broken left tib/fib - dislocated ankle - broken cervical rib - fractured sinuses But the most traumatising- When I was 12, I was riding a little dirt jump near my parents house. It’d rained ... more »

The over-40s breakfast club let me tag along this morning. Floated some airs and shot some photos on my new camera. Dave also shot one of me on his phone. Enjoy I've started playing with one-handed tables again. Need to juice em a lil higher

Added reply in a thread This is fun, post photo of the first ever complete bike you bought! 6/25/2020 4:29 PM

I don’t have any photos of it stock; but my first complete was a Mirraco Blend 3. By this stage, I’d already swapped out the bars for something taller, the Maxxis Miracle for some Snafu dirt tyre and replaced the gyro with a linear cable. I loved this

The juxtaposition between what you and I prefer is wild. I’m 5’8”-5’9” and admittedly am quite a bit heavier than you, but I ride a 21.25 with 8.75 bars. The set up diversity is unreal

Added reply in a thread Snapped my Odyssey Thunderbolt cranks today in an interesting place. 6/5/2020 6:58 PM

Damn, that’s wild! I’ve been running a set for about four years and they’re the first cranks than haven’t broken after about 2 years. Hoping I get a little while longer, but I’ll definitely be more cautious in the future

Added reply in a thread Did I choose the wrong bike? 6/5/2020 6:44 PM

If you’ve been riding mountain bikes, most completes will feel twitchy and loopy by comparison, so you might be okay. You could pick up a relatively inexpensive replacement frame if this one doesn’t work anyway!

Hell yeah dude, solid choice on that thing! I’m with ya on the spinning thing, too. I feel like the super responsive frames are too loopy for me to be in control of a spin

The measure of a our success as a society is how well we care for our most vulnerable. We should always be striving to do that better than we did yesterday. This thread is fuckin wild. Anyway, as for OP’s original question, I think skateparks can be ... more »

Thanks mate! Having a custom-painted helmet with my race number on it would’ve gotten young me stoked out of his mind for sure!

Also, Wanted to share my new helmet, too. I grew up racing flat track and motocross. Wanted an homage to that, got my friend who does traditional signwriting to paint some vintage flat track/stock car influenced numbers on an S1 retro lifer

Restrictions have started to ease a little here in Aus; 10 people permitted at the park at a time. I’m trying to avoid the crowds by going at sunrise. Here’s one from the session yesterday.

I found “scaling up” the bars made it feel more natural. You might be okay though, give it a crack and if you feel like you’re reaching too much throw some 8.5’s on. Generally, just fuck around until you find something comfortable. The Patrol is the ... more »

Added reply in a thread Need some upgrade suggestions. 5/9/2020 12:53 PM

That stems reach is pretty short, and the bars look like they have close to zero degree back sweep. Otherwise, the geometry on that is in the ballpark of a modern street/park bike anyway; and you’ll probably be relatively comfortable as long as the TT ... more »
