Bummer man, I hope it doesn’t get you too hard. I slept for a week straight and my cardio fitness has been dodgy ever since.
Went to the mountain bike park again, did two runs before my ankle decided to quit. Pretty much anything other than quarters bigger than 6ft hurts my ankle at the moment. A mate sent me these clips we filmed back in 2016, so I threw them in a timeline. ... more »
Flew from Aus to ATX and back, and Aus into London and out of Dublin, all packed into an odyssey bag. Never had a drama, was covered as oversized luggage for all flights
Looks like a fun spot man! Tough to ride being corrugated
Try and lock your knees out once you get to about your peak, helps stop The bike from moving with the bars and gives you enough clearance
What MBD said. I went back to work the week after breaking mine about 8 years back and it’s been pretty terrible since. In fairness, I’ve done it about 4 times prior. Usually by six weeks it’s good to start rolling around a little bit. Less if you got ... more »
Took the wee one to the bowl again today, managed to get in a solid 90 minutes before he got too tired. Also, this time four years ago I was heading off to the UK and Ireland for a trip with my now wife. Checked off some bucket list spots, proposed to
What Bryan said! That colour looks sick
Headed a few hours north to watch a round of the national motocross championship. Stayed with my brother since the track is five minutes from his door. This bowl is about the same. Fun little set up!
To echo what has already been said, the devotion is the best option if you’re looking at buying new. The CS won’t be too long, I’d wager that something in that mid-length would be comfortable for a beginner. Not too responsive but stable enough that ... more »
It was $949AUD, which is about $650USD from memory. For context, that is what a production S&M retails for down here so it made sense
Ya reckon you could find it on maps with some investigation? Held another jam this past weekend. Trying to keep everyone psyched through the winter. Photos by LC/Sleepers BMX
lol this is like me trying to convince myself I'd ride anything other than trails geo
Trust me man, I can’t wait! I’ve already got him a DK balance bike haha. I think my old man wants him to go down the moto route like I did, he’s got a Stacyc on order haha. You and your lad have progressed heaps since Dodson opened!
I have conceded that I am not a fat seat guy, so I swapped out the fat demolition seat for this slim odyssey one
I’m on 14 weeks paid parental leave at the moment, and I’ve been trying to work out the logistics to head to the bowl with my son by myself. Anyway, finally did it today and it went well. He likes the skatepark anyway so that definitely helped!
Honestly I haven't cut any laps on this thing at all yet, but my wife had a blast at the pump track last week. I'm keen to see how it feels though
If it's any consolation I'd say its gone to someone who is at least as stoked on it as you are. IIRC its on the wall of a BMX shop in Perth now. Also I absolutely landed on zero as the correct number of pegs.
Oh that’s embarrassing, another shop had them listed as welded so I believed it. Salt plus sure confirms they are indeed pinned. Thanks for the catch!
https://youtu.be/hCmCpouFhRY It’s 1:48am and I’ve just done some manuals and bunnyhops in the cul de sac because I’m so stoked
