It’s hard to give specific advice because every bowl has unique transition with unique pool coping but just feel it out. Above instruction is sound, but depending on transition and coping you may also have to push through. I personally don’t find the ... more »
Yeah mate, pretty much everyone is. Most people are just DMing one another to organise sessions
Our scene is full of older dudes getting back into it, or ones who never stopped. At 29, I’m usually the youngest on deck at the Sunday morning sessions, with the oldest being 52. It’s rad. Reyn, you’re ripping and that park looks very fun.
Hell yeah dude! Opposite airs on something that mellow would be wild Snuck out to Maroubra before work. This bowl is a weird one, the deep end has one of the best transitions I’ve ever ridden, but the waterfall is basically a 4ft quarter so it’s really
Which is your local? Rockdale? I’ve always wanted a flyout with a slight banked landing. Son had a doctors appointment near Meadowbank, so I Went for my first ride in my full face today. Felt a little top heavy but I actually like it more than I expected
For sure man! Wanna do what I can to ensure I can go to work on Monday and play with my kid on Monday night. I’ve never been able to do pads or gloves but we will see how it goes I guess!
Way too many to narrow down. First time making it through a line at the trails, first proper air out, looping a cradle (every single time), 2010 Gold Coast road trip, riding street at night in my hometown, Halloween Jam, riding Bondi from midnight til ... more »
Updated plans look rad mate! Where abouts on the mid north coast are you? I grew up in Kempsey
Not parts, but picked up a full face yesterday. Having a child has made my own mortality very apparent so I’m gonna give this a try. Will mostly be used when I’m riding trails, big bowls and vert ramps but maybe it’ll become an all-the-time thing.
Felt pretty comfortable in the deep end this morning, brought out a few rarer moves. Not stoked on how my toboggans were today, but they’ve never been a consistent trick for me anyway.
Traded my Skavenger for this 21.25” Kink Backwoods. It’s an objectively less-cool frame but it’s something that suits me a little better. Looking forward to building it up.
This is Macquarie Fields, and honestly it’s probably more of a flyout haha. You could do it and Campbeltown in the same day though!
Had my second dose of Pfizer this morning at 7:30, and it turned out the vaccination hub was right next to this skatepark I haven’t been to in three years, so I headed over once I had the all clear. It has this rad little box jump, and I never get to
I kinda love parks like that. Forces you to get way more comfortable with opposite stuff
28t would definitely give you a little clearance, but you’d still need to keep on top of your chain tension. With 30t, you’d have to pay a bit less attention to it. For reference, here is the clearance I had on my T1 Barcode and a 30/9 ratio.
From a quick google, it doesn’t look like the BSD hub has a larger driver option, nor is it compatible with other company’s components. Could be wrong on the second one, couldn’t see any info either way. You can absolutely run 28/9 or 30/9 without issue. ... more »
Maybe I’m being unrealistic and naive, but if I’m gonna spend half my weeks paycheque on a set of cranks, I would expect them to come relatively issue-free. The amount of these that seem to have manufacturing defects for me personally is unacceptable, ... more »
Cranks + chain + tyre is just over $400AUD!
New cranks and chain fitted, pretty stoked! Definitely miss the shoulder on the thunderbolt spindle though.
You ever spend $400 on your bike for it to look virtually identical?
