Have you used an automotive 4-way wrench? Usually the 1 piece design is slimmer and should fit in. You can pick up a cheap one at Walmart. Wrench

Yeah I did. I keep up on all those dudes up that way. O.S.S., A.L.Y.K., Pegleg, BMXFU. A few of those dudes hung out here this last summer. Charlie included. All those guys up that way kill it!

As far as best brakes go, it's more about having them dialed and a pair of brake pads that work how you want them to. Meaning if you like your brakes to lock up, go with a clear pad or a pad that has a similar SOFT compound. If you like you brakes to

I hear ya. I figured that's what you meant anyways. I made the comment for those who run into these problems. There's probably a gyro post once a week on here asking the same questions. I only wish I could run a straight cable. I love how loose you can ... more »

Yeah man! The DECO forks are sick. I have the removable mounts. The dropouts are perfect for grinding. The offset is 28mm which is a great happy medium.. Not too steep that it makes the front end twitchy. Like I said, you can run the fat tires WITH front ... more »

No prob. I personally wouldn't ever want to go back to a gyro plate... I love my stem and the tab idea. I think it's the best. It works out well with any size fork steer tube length. WHen you order forks check out the steer tube lengths. Some of the ... more »

Reply to Gyro plate above stem? 11/27/2011 4:17 PM

Bong again. Stay off what ever you're smoking. Spring tension helps return the brake arms back to their neutral position. Spring tension has nothing to do with how much travel area your gyro has. That is determined by how much space you have between ... more »

Reply to Gyro plate above stem? 11/27/2011 1:56 PM

If you do that then the gyro will not work properly. It causes the cables to become more flexible with the more space between the gyro and the plate. It will cause the gyro to drag as in not spin with the stem. It will also cause the gyro to flop.

Reply to Gyro plate above stem? 11/27/2011 1:33 PM

Wrong!!! If you have minimal amount of travel like I explained to Jesse has, then the gyro will "bottom out" (hit the gyro plate before the pads meet the rim. Thus making it IMPOSSIBLE for the pads to ever make a good solid connection to the rim. Jesse, ... more »

I'm the same way, I love mine super loose with a lot of travel. You run into this problem with most of the forks made today because of a couple reasons. One is because most kids DON'T run gyros anymore. Companies make the steer tube super short to 1. ... more »
