They've been out for a while, not a big fan of em, I like the ability to have all parts independent when it comes to cranks that way if something breaks i'm not a replacing an arm and a spindle. I think I'll always stick with 3 piece just for that reason. ... more »

I've put a guide on your brake if you decide to trim it down I'd recommend using a dremmel with a sanding drum or if you don't have that a curved file but take your time and check clearance every little bit you can and leave no less than 3mm from line

Damn and that's at a 13.3 re, not fun at all, happened to myself on a custom at same length and that was using Fly's and they are slightly shorter, classico's to be exact.

Only problem with the 2.5's is that if the arms are slightly longer he might have issues with the arm touching getting in the way of the sprocket. It's happened before.

Fly brakes are the best ! You have a few options 1. Grind the inner of the arm down where the cut out is to just leave enough meat to still be safe. I did the same thing and left 3mm and it's plenty strong. 2. Run a skinnier tyre. 3. Run the rear end ... more »

I agree - if you’re fortunate enough to have a core BMX shop in your town with the ability to stock all of the parts / sizes / colors you need. Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist everywhere. It’s pretty rare, actually.

You could use a master link or quick link, not really breaking the chain but you'd still need to unclip to remove the chain. I personally always use master link as breaking the chain every time you want to do something with wheel or frame is complete ... more »

Yeah I remember. I used to have a 07 or 08 version it had a 74 degree HT whereas the newer had a 73. Macneil had some clean ass frame designs. Those frames were called the Macneil BIBI.

Correct. Washers just make it that much better, chews up material without, but with does not, along with smoother tightening-loosening.

For sure. I'm using 10mm cromo and I'm 96kg shit holds. 14mm is no issue.
