Added reply in a thread 2000s was the pinnacle of bmx, change my mind 9/7/2019 9:03 PM

Disagree on the bikes being better. I hate all the new stuff: huge tires, massive bars, topload stems, long tall frames, 20 freecoasters that are all the same. I’d take a bike from 2007-9 over most current trend bikes. Look at dans comp in 2010 you could ... more »

Ugly bike co.

Oil slick is ugly as shit. I wouldn’t buy it if it were the cheapest option lol. Also modern day bikes are shit. Feel like big mountain bikes

I leave the spacer out of my bottom bracket always. But that’s because I don’t want my cranks to spin

Added reply in a thread Brakes Or Brakeless 5/28/2019 2:51 PM

No brakes Can’t be bothered to learn to work on them Get in the way of barspins and cut my thumbs up I’ve rode brakes before and they’re fun but I haven’t figured out how to use them for looping out or tailwhip a so they just get in the way and require ... more »

No problem

It’s a Tierra probably v1. And 20.6 top tube. Offset seat tube was to give the room of a longer top tube but the frame is more responsive as if it were .4 shorter tt.

Fly Tierra v1 or v2

Added reply in a thread Old school vs mid vs new 4/25/2019 5:33 PM

Not everyone prefers to ride 25/28. Some more 23s or 30s would be nice. And not everyone wants to switch over to half link chains. Some frames don’t fit a full link with 25 or 28/9. What’s really unnecessary is having 35 bars with the exact same specs, ... more »

Tbh I thought jcpc pedals sucked and were way over hyped. metals are best Jcpc are probably good for pedal slides but I hate not being locked in.

I’ve rode down to 145mm with 22/9. Pedaling was easy. Obviously not fast but I don’t like riding fast anyways.

Added reply in a thread Best street tires? 4/16/2019 11:42 AM

Grifters are cool. Light and durable. When I had mine I didn’t have pegs. They seemed to make Vader slides easier lol.

Added reply in a thread Short frames, good read 4/16/2019 11:39 AM

I’ve rode frames from 19.5 to 20.4 as far as smaller frames go. They spin nice, manual and tailwhip nice. But made barspins harder and didn’t have a lot of room. Smaller frames aren’t bad

Added reply in a thread Old school vs mid vs new 4/15/2019 7:26 AM

I agree 2004-2012 was around the best. I would enjoy riding a nice mid school MacNeil Ruben, low bars, frontload stem. From time to time for fun. i Liked mid school riding and the bikes looked cool. But new technology is better. Around the 2008-2012 ... more »

Also on rubens. Kind of want a taller set up so I might switch to wethepeople pathfinders. The 9.6 don’t look nearly as huge as all the other bars of that size. Most of these bars can’t be run under 28 I’ve learned Most big bars look awful lol

Added reply in a thread Profile hubs 4/11/2019 5:41 AM

They’re good. I’ve had an elite back hub, 2 or 3 sets of minis, the old SS hubs and Maderas.

I’ve got a pair of country 835 bars with the same drilled out spots. I remember the MacNeil xlts. I always wanted a MacNeil Ruben lol and their seats were the best.
