You’ve got to have the bars really low. Yours are up too high still. Also you don’t really need a high hops I don’t think I’ve ever really focused on hopping high for a hop whip.

If you’re having trouble kicking it around maybe wait until you have more bike control or learn something else first. Hop whips are probably the hardest trick in riding.

I take pretty much all logos off my bike or cover them with marker lol. Animal is cool though

I dunno most people learn them flyout or do the pick up bar first. I learned them hop.

I rarely notice bar weight. It could be the rotational weight of your front wheel slowing your barspin down. That makes more difference than bar weight. Especially if you’re riding these over hyped heavy giant tires.

I don’t care about dents or scratches or paint I’ve ridden cracked frames before but usually when the frame or parts cracked that’s where I start looking for a new frame.

They’d be stamped under the grips if they are.

Crankflips can look cool depending on style. I don’t think bmx has many cool tricks. I don’t think flips/flairs, or tailwhips (unless done flat or something small), one hand/no hand/ one foot/ nothing any of those variations, seat grabs, x ups (unless ... more »

Yeah that’s pretty much what I was thinking. There’s so many super stylish skaters from back in the 90s to mid 00s. Bikers have always done some goofy shit with their fashion trends except for the east coast riders it seemed.

One of my favorite frames super easy to whip, spin and barspin. Sadly they’re kinda shit. I had 3: A v1 I sold because it was too long A v4 I got in good condition and cracked in a week A v3 I got brand new and cracked in a month

the thing is with bmx parts they aren’t like collectibles. Pretty much they’re worth what someone is willing to pay. Some old frames sell for 50 bucks some sell for 300+ but usually if it’s brand new in box you can get a few hundred out of it.

No,I get it’s his signature frame. What I’m saying is the company lacks any diversity in their line of frames limiting their market and by doing so they get less profit. Which is a good way to run your business out. This frame isn’t much different than ... more »

This is very accurate. Pop is the most important thing and tall bars kill that. And yes it kills style, it’s hard for me to enjoy watching riding when someone is standing straight up like they’re riding those weird city scooter commuter things.

But selling out doesn’t quite mean that they’re a hit. As said above if they’ve only made 10 and sold 10 then it’s hard to say it’s a hit. A lot of companies produce pretty limited quantities like t1, mutiny, Hoffman etc Seth Kimbrough is one of my favorite ... more »

I’ve come to the conclusion that bmx riders have historically probably had the worst fashion trends since about 2005 Whether it be the mid-late 00s red and purple skin tight jeans, zebra print ,bandana, flannel shirts, v necks and giant colorful high ... more »

I like Hoffman but will they ever make a frame under 13.75 slammed lol. All their frames are nearly the same geo and this thing being so heavy isn’t really going to help sell them.

I wear straight leg jeans a few sizes up or relaxed straight lately. Tight pants are stupid looking and it makes you look stiff legged on everything you land. Plus it isn’t 2010 anymore v necks, skinny jeans , hipster shit, headbands -gross Also those ... more »

Reply to Grind box height size 6/1/2020 5:51 PM

I personally wouldn’t build it that tall. I’d say 16-18 but it depends on what you’re wanting to do. I don’t really see the point in a super tall grind box since it’s mostly just used to have to something to chill and grind. Plus you’ll be able to learn ... more »
