It’s actually a huffy. Looks to me like the supercharger or at least that’s what looks the most similar. Early 2000s race bike.

If you have a longer frame and put a shorter stem on it’s not going to perform the same as the shorter frame when doing tricks. Meaning the stem doesn’t effect the wheel base just where you hold your bars.

Yes and no Yes in the sense that your bars will be held in a similar spot. No because your wheel base will remain the same. So tricks will feel in the same in terms of rotations and such.

I’m about the same and I wouldn’t recommend 20.75 or bigger personally. If you ride a lot of flowy type of stuff maybe a 20.75 would be okay but I always got the best pop off of a 20.5/6 with a medium chainstay.

To each their own. I actually always preferred a light bike and have rode titanium spindles and they feel no different from a chromoly one when actually riding. The RNC stuff seems silly and gimmicky to pay 100+ for a sprocket or stem or whatever to ... more »

I have the fit ones in 4.75 I ride sometimes. They’re good.

Congrats. Also doing a tailwhip and footjam whip are very different so I doubt it matters.

The real disappointment is putting tires on those damn things.

Also on the fly chain. Pretty good so far but only had it for about 4 months maybe. Had a volume half link recently and it kept stretching and I had to keep pulling my wheel back. I don’t really see a benefit other than being able to slam your wheel. ... more »

Reply to 5' 7" riders, what's your TT? 7/13/2020 11:17 AM

I’m a bit taller than that and ride 7.75 bars/FL and 20.5 top tube. Never will go over 20.5/20.6 every time I have it felt like shit.

Reply to 21inch 7/13/2020 11:15 AM

Longer tt gives more room but the key to barspins is staying over the bars so to me longer front end makes them worse feeling and sketchy.

You’ve got to have the bars really low. Yours are up too high still. Also you don’t really need a high hops I don’t think I’ve ever really focused on hopping high for a hop whip.

Reply to Help with a hop whip 7/6/2020 2:54 PM

If you’re having trouble kicking it around maybe wait until you have more bike control or learn something else first. Hop whips are probably the hardest trick in riding.

I take pretty much all logos off my bike or cover them with marker lol. Animal is cool though

Reply to Lighter Bars 7/1/2020 11:10 AM

I dunno most people learn them flyout or do the pick up bar first. I learned them hop.

Reply to Lighter Bars 7/1/2020 9:08 AM

I rarely notice bar weight. It could be the rotational weight of your front wheel slowing your barspin down. That makes more difference than bar weight. Especially if you’re riding these over hyped heavy giant tires.

I don’t care about dents or scratches or paint I’ve ridden cracked frames before but usually when the frame or parts cracked that’s where I start looking for a new frame.

Crankflips can look cool depending on style. I don’t think bmx has many cool tricks. I don’t think flips/flairs, or tailwhips (unless done flat or something small), one hand/no hand/ one foot/ nothing any of those variations, seat grabs, x ups (unless ... more »
