Well, update on the whole situation. PlanetBMX doesn’t respond to anything unless you’re buying something, basically had been trying to get ahold of them for nearly 2 weeks for them to tell me I’m on my own (looks like they just lost a customer, the ... more »

Looks like the people at Hoffman's offices aren't answering. Got in touch with the original mail order site I got it from (PlanetBMX) and they had me send a picture. The guy I talked to on the phone is gonna try to get in touch with the Hoffman company's ... more »

The front wheel is out of true but it’s from double peg grinding without a hub guard (stupid I know, but the wheel was getting out of true anyways so I said why not). There’s absolutely no chance that someone rode it without me knowing, even if they ... more »

When we say front end we don’t mean on the frame. A hard landing on the nose from the front of the bike at a 30 degree angle would cause this under normal circumstances. The thing is, I don’t ride into stuff like a retard, and I don’t bump jump curbs ... more »

The soundwave is under 5 pounds lol, but I know what you mean. The Lady Luck in 21” is 2 ounces below but still, even then that’s just sketchy. If it was a legitimate bend, I would believe that it would have came from the middle of the tube since it’s ... more »

It is intended for that, but since it bent right before the gusset (butted tubes usually go farther in than 2 inches with the extra thickness), that means that the tube is likely pretty thin right there.

The gusset is on the outside, but it definitely says butted tubes on the specs. Looking at those videos of Ben riding, they either are pulling a huffy on us (huffy was well known to use bikes for their team that were advertised as theirs but really were ... more »

I don’t keep anything in the trunk that would be heavy enough to even move the bike around. That’s what I was saying though, I’m not jumping out of ramps or anything, hell, I have only two spots in my town that consist of a foot high ledge and a small ... more »

You’re asking if going to the mecca of bmx is worth it. As long as you aren’t going for part of the camp, it’s worth it.

Only thing is that the top tube is creased too. If I had seen someone hit my frame with a hammer though I’d honestly strangle them to death on the spot, and people know this too so I’d rule this out. Come to think about it though, do bmx companies now ... more »

I adapt to that stuff really fast, kind of the reason I don’t really care too much about geo. I’m gonna attempt to fix it if I don’t get that warranty (which honestly I wouldn’t blame them for turning me down). If worst comes to worst I’ll ride my now-superior ... more »

That seriously sucks. I didn’t even notice the top tube. I have no idea how I had gotten it, but I definitely didn’t ride it into a wall. I don’t even curb Endo, which would cause that too. I definitely don’t ride hard enough to bend a tube, let alone ... more »

Busted out my bike to put in the back of my vehicle because I use it to ride around my campus, noticed something a little unsettling.

That’s a crease that folded into the gusset. I don’t even really ride hard and I mainly do flatland, don’t ... more »

Hate to hear that you’re stopping your rides. I don’t know anyone in the scene that needs a bike or anyone interested in the scene so I don’t need this, very cool that you are giving your g-whip up like this though.

Mtb tech is miles ahead of bmx stuff, bmx bikes are actually rather simple when it comes to components, it’s materials where bmx shines over other bikes. If they can’t fix a one speed chain or at least identify the problem, then they aren’t a very good ... more »
