This has came up several times on the forum. It is fairly normal and doesn't affect anything. As long as your bearings are in correctly, run it and don't worry about it.

Do you have calipers and a couple of spare spokes handy?

Shut up, those detangler bluetooth dongles are way too expensive for the average rider

Also ask for the ERD, not the diameter. That's why they keep replying with 20"

Added reply in a thread WeThePeople Logic rim diameter 7/9/2020 8:01 PM

406 is the inside diameter according to the etrto sticker on the rim. I'm not sure if that is the same as the ERD though, which is the dimension spoke calculators ask for

Added reply in a thread What took you longer to learn a flat 360 or hop barspin? 7/8/2020 4:35 PM

I learned flat 3's around 2004, learned hop bars around 2019. Had a huge mental block about taking both hands off unless I was flying out of a quarter or dirt. Jammed fingers hurt

Added reply in a thread V Bars, why do so few manufacturers make them? 7/6/2020 1:36 AM

Extra steps in manufacturing and lack of consumer demand is probably why they went by the wayside. DK still makes them with modern geo. Chamberlain bars if I remember correctly? I hear that if you find an old pair of Redline Stu bars, the guys over at ... more »

Laser and WJ cut drop outs are welded on. There might be slight weight/strength differences, but the IC dropout do look a little cleaner. Look up the dropouts on the Demolition Fox forks. They are sexy, but I've never bought non-odyssey forks so I have ... more »

Jokes aside, really hope you went with the right size bars for that stem. As for the hub and fork, the storm for uses laser cut dropouts, so it might not fit. I dont have experience with that fork or hub, but if demolition is right, you may have issues ... more »

Hopefully you went with the 25.4mm bars/22.2mm stem combo again because that is SUCH a good idea. Can't believe the entire industry hasn't found out about that hack yet

I rode a pair of Volume Reagle Beagle bars on a stem from a Poverty Buck99 complete back in the early 2000's and never had a slip. The Buck99 had the cheapest crap Dan's Comp could throw together on it and I'm sure the stem wasn't high quality, but it ... more »

Agreed. When they slip, they aren't moving a centimeter or 2, they're going to kiss the front tire. He's going to look pretty funny trying to eat corn on the cob with no fuckin' teeth

Can't stress how bad of an idea it is to put 25.4 bars in a 22.2mm stem. It might feel secure, but it will slip and damage your bars. The knurling on your bars won't have a good enough surface to surface contact to imprint your stem, so they will slip. ... more »
