I made a rear hub guard out of stainless steel, Used a large hole saw to cut a disc out of the sheet then drilled a hole dead center put it in a press to bend it into a "cone" type shape (had to heat it, stuff is hard as eff). Works awesome, barely a ... more »

No fisheye for filming (fisheye for stills works sometimes), no auto focus, if you want auto focus use a smrtfone. /thread

Spur of the moment idea, stripped my bike yesterday, rawed the frame and forks, overnighted some "Black Chrome" powdercoat and shot it this morning. Turned out pretty rad, super happy with it. Goes from almost gloss black in the shade/indoors to golden

If the chrome is peeling or chipping then the chrome has to be completely stripped off, usually has to be stripped chemically by a chroming shop. If the chrome is still in good shape then a quick sandblast is all you'll need before powder. A 2 coat colour ... more »

To remove powdercoat- Paint stripper, wire brush, paint stripper, wire brush, paint stripper, wire brush. Bench mounted wire wheel to finish it off before clear coat. If you weren't "rawing" it then industrial sandblasting works well to re-powdercoat. ... more »

Hahaha you first... Yeah the grass kinda sucks but makes your legs "Strong like bull". I would love to get an asphalt pad out back some day and set my ramps up on it. Concrete is mad expensive around here, tar and gravel is a little more my budget.

2ft high, 1ft low, 12feet long, 2 feet wide. Thinking of putting a piece of flat steel on one edge and try some grinds on it.
