I'm a big fan of Federal personally, the brand just stuck with me seeing as it was the old school team that inspired me to ride back in the day (Mark Love, Derek Strickland, Dan Lacey, Dan Cox, Davey Watson etcetc)
It's factory paint from a United complete and the paint is perfect, almost no flaws

I have an Eastern BB kit and trying to put a new cranks set up into a newly bought frame. The BB sealed bearings DO fit into the frame hole but only around 25% in, then just won't go in no matter how perfectly I hammer. Yes I did grease. Please help. ... more »

I've just checked the SALT logo and it's exactly the same as the one shown on the stem. You were right... Do you rekcon the frame is an old WTP?
