No offence taken at all. I'd just prefer a U-brake than a caliper brake. I think they feel much nicer and brake better. I will keep my eye out for some decent forks on eBay then, but may have to just shell out on some brand new ones.

And having looked last night, I have 14mm rear axle and 10mm front. What on earth is that about ha ha. The ones you listed look nice, but I am in the UK, so will need to source from over here

Are these now a thing of the past? My Eastern Element has come with a crappy caliper type brake on and I'd love to swap it out for an Oddessy or Dia-Compe U-Brake However, the cheapest forks I can find with the lugs are like £95!!! Is there a cheaper ... more »

Tightened up the chain a little lastnight. Bought some chain stays, only to realise it already had some on. Doh!!

Going to fit my chain tensioner later so I can move the wheel back a little. Hopefully this will stop the back of my trainer clipping the rear peg

Who runs what and why? Do you prefer the ease of 36s or like the look of 48s? Is there any extra strength in more spokes, or is it the ability to twist?
