180's too. Beyond landing a trick for the first time, there's a long ass period between just getting lucky with a trick here and there and being able to do them consistently. For the longest time i'd get away with pulling 2 or 3 180's each session going ... more »

360 into rails. Paley's done 360 to crook several times and i remember Churchill doing a hardway 360 to crook (i think that's what it's called...). I don't think i've seen it on a street down rail yet though. There's a few 360 to crankarms but it's more ... more »

Added reply in a thread Saltplus or Vocal Freecoaster? Or what else? What freecoasters have the most slack? 8/16/2017 3:37 PM

Watched a few other videos about the zcoaster and I think I get it now. Seems like it'd be annoying to have to remind yourself to disengage before you start a fakie trick. Gonna pass on the zcoaster.

Can you explain this video about the zcoaster?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4PYEdC7KVg He says he uses the pedal pressure from the cassette mode but then as soon as he lands he's not backpedaling.....like a freecoaster?wtf?

Quarter crank is not that much? What's got more than? Quarter crank is actually pretty good if you're really talking about a full 90 degrees. I remember people saying the Federal v2 was a quarter crank but it's actually 1/8 (45 degrees). If felt like ... more »

Is max slack on it 45 degrees or more?

Started new thread Saltplus or Vocal Freecoaster? Or what else? What freecoasters have the most slack? 8/15/2017 2:31 PM

Getting a new rear hub. Haven't looked into freecoasters since my federal v2. I like a lot of slack. The federal v2 at 25/9 gearing gets about 45 degrees of slack at the max setting. I wouldn't mind even 90 degrees or more. Anyone know if the salt plus ... more »

You got the right idea. Just keep stacking stuff higher and higher. Cardboard boxes work well. A good benchmark to try to get to at this point is making the bars hit your thighs when you pull up. You can even try this without doing the 2nd tuck park. ... more »

Moving the rear hub from 13 to 13.5 makes it feel like the rocking back and forth slows down and you have more time to adjust. I think i like it more. I'm in the process of learning manuals and it definitely won't improve your manual distance by that ... more »

No throwing on the way down on this one: https://www.instagram.com/p/BGgNB85ucXd/ It's a strange feeling too trying to hop without bending the knees. He pretty much hopped a 5 stair with the legs straight.

Working on hop bars, but i have a hard time doing with a lot of pop, j hop style. I can only do them in a really low shitty hop. Almost like the beginner 2 wheel at the same time hops. This is a good example of what i mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCN8_QlsTsU&t=3m6s ... more »

I've been just starting to get height and distance with my 180's. First off, if you're only 4 inches off the ground, your bars aren't hitting your thighs. It's not a legit hop. If you can get onto a picnic table then you should know what I'm talking ... more »

You don't need to do a slider or know how to half cab to to get out of a fakie with a freecoaster. I don't know how to do any of those. You just do a back wheel pivot but all with momentum and no pedal pressure. It's exactly the same idea as a nose pivot/g-turn ... more »

What's a kick out skid? Is that like the back tire skid on the edge of a quarter pipe? I can't do those. I'm good at doing the 180 pivot / g-turn thing so I'm use to throwing my weight into a full 180 on the front wheel. Just hard to get that back tire ... more »
