Yeah riding wet roads can be dangerous, and you want to limit the amount of water you expose the bike too. I dry mine immediately if I ride when it's wet. As far as the tires goes, I needed replacements and wasn't sure what to get. I'm thinking of going back down to 2.1" at least in back.

Reason I asked is cuz you got a lot of tread on your tires and I wasn't sure if that was for riding in the dirt or street... Mine are smooth and I sometimes think I want some tread..... I remember people calling them Cuesta Bars now lol. We called them Philly bars as well.

Personally, stand over is important to me. As someone else mentioned, 8.5" is a middle ground, and it feels pretty good. I rode an 8" SO for a long time. I'm not a huge fan of a really low SO, so 8" is the lowest I'd go. I rode a 7.25" for a while, and ... more »

If you wanna wear it, then wear it. I ride a full-face helmet. Mine is intended for bmx racing, but I wear it for riding street.
