Style over tricks seems to be the direction we're heading and I like it.

My random thoughts on XGames.. Seemed like the riders didn't LOVE the street setup. It was small and difficult to get creative. Garrett is dialed as ever. The leaderboard could've gone so many different ways underneath him. Tough judging job to have. ... more »

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I blame my feet for this too because it's a switch 180 for me, but I'll get it first try or after 50 tries. Never consistent.

No shame there. X-ups are pretty awkward and require some flexibility. I've been playing with x-up rides lately and they're so sketchy.

Way to push through and get it done. Grizz air would be sweet.

For me it was a stupid double peg stall on a quarter. I FINALLY landed one this weekend. I've always been terrible on quarters so this was a huge psychological thing for me. It took me probably 100 tries till i kept my fat foot on the pedals. My main ... more »

I went with all black 2.35 in front and 2.2 in back. Still slightly fighting the fat tire fad.

It doesn't seem like many of us on this board even consider Stranger when it comes to buying parts. Think they'll last much longer as a brand at this point?

Good points here. There are only a handful of guys who are making a comfortable living on a bike. Pro definitely doesn't equal big money. An average pro probably gets paid 300-500 a month from each company they ride for and might carry 3-5 sponsors. ... more »

Yeah not many rough grinds for me, so I'll be set. I remember you mentioning how much you liked them in a thread, and albe's had them at the shop, so thank you for the unintentional recommendation!

Picked up some Demolition Momentums on lunch today. Never again will I run a budget part. I think I underestimated how much and how heavy I'd actually be riding.

I was gapping from a bank to quarter. Came up short and caught an edge. Serves me right for running these cheap mission tires.

Anybody who sends themselves like Sean Burns will be feeling it as they get older. For us average riders, I don't think it's all too bad. Like gallin said, after the soreness of the first few weeks, it's like any other sport.

If you're grinding a lot of concrete ledges, go metal. Im running Cult butters and BSD safari plastic pedals. I like both and they're holding up fine.

lol an oldie but goodie. I enjoyed Ryan Taylor's Dhers beef video as well. That salt skatepark video was pretty lame.

Added reply in a thread 2.40 front and 2.40 back good idea. 6/30/2017 11:53 AM

I ride 2.3 front and back. Recently converted from 1.95. Took a minute to get used to, but overall it's a better ride. I like the cushion and I've got more confidence in slippery parks. Ride what you want. You'll get used to it either way.

He did it for views. Plain and simple. It made me laugh, but it may have crossed a line. I wonder what his employer, Woodward, thinks about it. Trey Jones had some short lived beef with Harry Main as well, so it was no shock to see him in the video. ... more »

If you're falling on manuals, you should really just practice looping out and landing on your feet. It'll be instinct pretty quick.

Van Homan was a judge for this "contest." Metro Jam still happens every year in Toronto. Might have a different name, but it's still going. BMX is based around progression, like all action sports. You'd prefer every rider do the same tricks day in day ... more »

I thought the same lol. He did some of those bangers in front of a pretty big crowd. Surprised they didn't get leaked.
